Stephanie's Summer School of Swing:

For the entire month of July we will have we will be having west coast swing classes on Tuesday and Thursday. Join Stephanie and Aaron on Tuesday for their WCS Beginner Intensive class and/or their Advanced Choreography class. Join Brad and Sarah on Thursday for their intermediate west coast swing class followed by the same social dancing afterwards we have all come to enjoy. Inaugural Friday Night Dance Review:

Our inaugural third Friday of the month dance party was a huge sucess! We had over 60 people from a variety of dance backgrounds show up to dance with us. The evening started with a wonderful introductory lesson taught by our very own Stephanie Batista, while a number of our well seasoned dances helped by rotating in the mix with the new and novice dancers during the lesson. The social dancing started with a bang as DJ Aaron Batista kicked off the night with some great west coast swing hits. The night continued as Aaron and Swing City's Bobby D spun tunes for us all the way to 1am! A great time was had by all as we mixed it up between west coast swing, lindy, east coast swing, and even cha-cha. Afterwards a bunch of us made our way to Eat'n Park to continue the fun.

MadJam Review:

A great time was had by all members of our community who made it down to MadJam with us. In all there were 19 members of our community representing Pittsburgh in activities such as workshops and private lessons, newcomer to professional level competition, performances and demonstrations, and social dancing that went on past 6am! With over 1200 dancers present and activites that went almost completely around the clock from Thursday night to Sunday there was never a lul in the action.
